Blue Nokia 5800 is Vodafone Exclusive and Joins the Nokia 5800 red

Joining the existing Red edition of the Nokia 5800 is a new colour variant of the XpressMusic phone, the blue edition of this new music inspired phone has been launched as a network exclusive by Vodafone in the UK.

This means that consumers will only be able to connect the new Nokia 5800 blue to the range of Vodafone pay monthly tariffs, this somewhat limitates the choice of tariff on offer so consumers cannot compare prices from other networks.

Network exclusive launches are not always in the consumers best interest as the number of packages available is limited to just that one network, as an example the customer may require 400 inclusive minutes per month and 1000 text, in this case Vodafone may offer either 300 or 500 in their packages where as Orange offer the exact deal. This means that the consumer will end up paying extra charges each month as they could not connect the blue Nokia 5800 to their chosen networks tariff.

In this latest situation however their is a compromise, although the Nokia 5800 blue is only available on Vodafone the red edition has been released on O2, Orange and T-Mobile pay mothly packages so as long as the consumer is not too fussy when it comes to the colour of their phone they can get the model they like with the correct number of minutes and text to suit their usage.

Both the red and the blue Nokia 5800 are not completely covered in the colour in their desciption, thankfully both model only change the colur of the surrounding accents so the differences are not too noticeable.

The Nokia 5800 has a dedicated Media Bar meaning mobile entertainment is always on hand. High-resolution widescreen video and superior surround sound, with built0-in stereo speakers and an advanced music player. Download new sounds to the 8GB microSD card, and sync your collection with Nokia Music software for PC.

Put your favourtie people on your home screen and share moments and media as they happen. Shoot 3.2 megapixel stills, video and seamlessly showcase them online with photo sharing services like Share on Ovi or Flickr. Broadcast yourself or download the latest videos.

The Nokia 5800 is the first Nokia phone to feature touchscreen technology, the next model is the flagship Nokia N97 due for release soon. This amazing 3.2" high-resolution touchscreen looks unlike any other and puts everything at your fingertips. Perfectly proportioned for one hand, featuring responsive fingertip, stylus, or plectrum control, automatic screen rotation, and tactile feedback. With a choice of alphanumeric keypad, full QWERTY keyboard, or handwriting for fast messaging.

The Nokia 5800 Blue edition is likely to stay as a network exclusive mobile phone for some weeks to come, once this initial launch period has expired then the other network operators will be able to offer this music phone on their own tariffs. The red Nokia 5800 has been launched on T-Mobile, Orange and O2 tariffs along with a recent release as a Pay As You Go phone, there are further network launches expected in the near future.

O2 Gets Pink LG Cookie - LG KP501 Pink Deals

Riding on the success of their budget touch screen mobile phone LG Electronics have now launched a new colour variant to appeal to a female audience, the new LG Cookie Pink edition holds exactly the same features, technology and design as the original model but exchanges the dull grey exterior casing for a new vibrant and sassy pink scheme.

Historically, pink versions of top selling mobile phones do very well in the market, take for example the Samsung Soul or Samsung Tocco, both pink version of these phones were well within the top 10 selling handsets of Christmas 2008, it seems the makeover really bolsters sales for the manufacturers.

It was not that long ago that a girl could not get a decent pink mobile phone, the only ones on offer seemed to be very low budget pay as you go models aimed more at teenages but the manufacturers have changed all that and listened to their consumers, after women everywhere wanted top-shelf features housed in pink casings they realised girls love gadgets too!

The LG Cookie features a 3.0 inch wide full touch screen which is more screen "real estate" to better enjoy watching videos, playing games, and looking at photos. Bigger is better and that also makes it easier to use by physical touch since larger icons are easier to navigate than smaller ones.

The QWERTY onscreen keyboard slides into view when the LG Cookie Pink is held horizontally, and the auto rotating display always shifts images or documents for proper viewing no matter which way the handset is turned.

The user interface is so intuitive that users will want to explore and master all of the functions and features of the Pink LG Cookie. The UI allows users to access menus easily and shift around other menus simply and quickly with just one touch.

Using advanced motion sensor technology, the LG Cookie adds more fun interactivity to games so users can enjoy mobile entertainment in a more dynamic and exciting way.
The games loaded on the LG-KP500 use a motion sensor that requires the user's eye-hand coordination to balance, flip, shift, and twist the handset to play the games.

The easy-to-use smart handwriting recognition function of the LG KP500 allows users to send text messages without using the touch keyboard. It is possible to write in complicated languages such as Chinese. In the photo mode, users can easily edit their photos with the stylus pen.

The Pink LG Cookie has been initially launched on O2 pay monthly contract deals in the UK, there are further network rollouts expected on both Orange and T-Mobile and a pay as you go launch which will probably cause a real stir when it happens. There are also further colour variants planned for the LG Cookie including a silver and a bronze model - there are no confirmed release dates for these as yet but it should not be too far away.

Blue Edition Nokia E63 Joins the Red Nokia E63 E-Series Phone

The beauty of a SIM free mobile phone is that it can be used on any compatible network operator so the user is not tied to just one or two suppliers, the SIM free Nokia E63 would make an ideal replacement for a lost or stolen mobile phone as well as an upgrade to the previous E71 model.

Taking on a similar design form to the Nokia E71 the new E63 adds even more functionality and features into what was already a very practical business phone, the extra colour variants on offer show that the popularity of the full qwerty keypad phone appeals not just to the greyscale professional but to those who enjoy a little personlisation and colour in their life.

Launching around the same time as the new Nokia 5800 Xpress Music the manufacturer is covering both ends of the phones market, from the fashion aware, music lovings consumers right through to the serious business players who need to communicate fast. Both models represent the best in their individual Series and with the addition of the new Nokia N97 as the manufacturers flagship model, Nokia really look like they are going places even in the tough current economic climate.

The Nokia E63 Blue offers exactly the same features, design and technology as the red edition of this top end smartphone, the only difference is that the exterior casing has been exchanged for a new deep blue metallic finish.

The blue Nokia E63 offers a dual home screen option lets users balance their work and personal life in one. Change between two different standby screens; both completely configurable with the users choice of short-cuts, email accounts, message notifications and more. Choose between home/work, home/abroad or customize the the screens however is best for the individual user.

Improve your work flow with the Nokia E63 unlocked, instant push email support delivers messages the moment they are sent. The setup is simple and a dedicated email key and full QWERTY keyboard help get the messages across whilst dual mode functionality allows users to switch between work and personal emails at a moments notice.

The Nokia E63 has a large wide screen display large screen for watching films in their original wide screen format with smooth uninterrupted playback. MP3 music player and microSDHC expandable memory lets users carry their music and movie collection with them when they need to unwind. A 3.5mm headphone socket is also present allowing users to connect their favourite pair of headphones to the E63 whenever they want.

Although initially released as a SIM Free mobile phone the Nokia E63 is expected to be rolled out onto the networks over the coming days giving consumers access to pay monthly contract deals with tariffs to match their usage requirements, the Nokia E63 red is widely predicted to be the next model to be launched form the E-Series range and will probably follow the same release format of SIM free and unlocked first followed by future network launches.
